"ATOP recruiting company is one of major recruiters at Gyeongsang nam do..." That is the opening sentence of their ever-present ads here in Dave's so why is their e-mail unreachable? The e-mail address they use is:

[email protected] but that e-mail is undeliverable because the mailbox is full.

Either companies need to read their e-mail and remove the excess or they need to use one of the unlimited free services such as Yahoo or Gmail.

Even from their website a person must apply though e-mails so it is just impossible to do so. I wonder if they realize they are paying for ads here that nobody can reply to?

If any recruiter doesn't reply to your emails or calls, then cross them off your list. There are plenty of other recruiters.

I have a few things to say about ATOP and this thread:

1) I applied and was successfully placed by ATOP six months ago with not a single issue. Lana, the main recruiter, was very professional and had my boyfriend and I placed quickly in a high-paying (albeit slightly crappy but not her fault) couple position without ever having talked to us on the phone. Her replies by email were always extremely quick and to the point. She went above and beyond what was required of her and made sure that our application process went as smoothly as possible. We had already had one application fall through with another recruiter, and she made sure we didn't regret switching to her. She ensured that our documents - which were already out of our hands and in Korea with another horrible recruiter - made it quickly and safely to our current employer. Whether or not you agree with the email-only arrangment, Lana did a great job and we really appreciate it.

2) Just because the mailbox is full does not mean that the recruiter is ignoring you. Given the recommendations by other teachers and by the rather high number of postings, I don't find it hard to believe that ATOP could have some difficulty reading and deleting some emails. If this occured over the weekend, that could be another reason. What was the error code and how many times have you tried?

Just my two cents - I suggest hanging in there and maybe contacting Lana again within a few days. I honestly can't speak any more highly about Lana and ATOP, and I hope this doesn't tarnish their image. Granted, I can understand how aggravating it can be to keep having your emails bounce back. Unless new management has taken over, I don't see why the situation won't be rectified asap. I hope for everyone's benefit that things turn around, because I assure you that you wouldn't be disappointed.
