I'm flying into Haneda in the morning and returning to SK at night. Does anyone know how to get from Haneda airport to downtown?
Also, I have about 6 hours in Tokyo - anything you would recommend that I see while I'm there? |

^ That covers the options on getting into Tokyo from Haneda. Haneda is quite a bit closer to Tokyo-proper than Narita, so that's good.
You have 6 hours between flights, or 6 hours of actual time you can spend in the city? |

depends what you want to do.....though 6 hours as you know is not much. I used to live in Tokyo so for me, I would do Shiibuya (spot of shopping/famous zebra crossing area you see on travel shows) and Harajuku (Street and Meiji temple). They are both very close to each other (next subway stop) and on the main green Yamaonte line. Easy therefore to get to the airport via Hamamatsucho station then monorail to Haneda (and vice versa).
The other alternative is the temple in Asakusa which has the flea market where you buy all the cheap souvenir things. I think all 3 would be a stretch unless you're a fast walker and fast eater (assuming you're gonna have lunch or dinner in between). |

| I think my flight lands at 9:30 and I actually don't again until 7:35pm, so I should have some decent time there. Thanks for the suggestions - I'll definitely do some of that provided I can figure out the subway system. Considering I thought it was confusing in Osaka...Tokyo should be a whole new ball game. |

If you're going to Harajuku/Shibuya, you could possibly also hit Shinjuku. Additionally, the Tokyo Metropolitan Office Building is near Shinjuku - it's observation deck has great views and is free.
Shinjuku Park is a surprisingly nice sight to see (must pay to enter) it has Japanese, English, and French sections. It is also somewhat nearby as the name would suggest. |

I'd go for the first plan over the 2nd. Asakusa isn't bad, but I don't know if there is enough to occupy you all those hours. There is enough going on in Shibuya and Harajuku to keep you entertained though. |

| harajuku is good, as is the area around roppongi has good restaurants. going to the island of odaiba is an interesting place to wander |

| i'll 2nd the harajuku/shibuya itinerary. i especially recommend spending an hour or so wandering yoyogi-park, especially if it's a weekend. free live music. |
