So check out the NYTimes article on China relaxing its policy on the renminbi. Midway through it mentions this might inspire SK and Japan to stop putting strong downward pressure on their currencies.

I'm no econ major (okay so actually I did graduate with a BS in Econ Cool ) but I think this could have a good effect for us expats wanting to send money home. I won't throw any predictions out there because I'm sure someone will dig this up in a few months to make fun of me. Rolling Eyes

Let's hope so. I read in one of the Korean newspapers a few months ago that the government was going to "let" the currency rise in value in the near future.
