Some of you may have seen my flashcard thread, but this post is different. So my director just infomed me that in about 3 weeks my kindergarten is going to have an English activity day (field trip). I will be expected to have at least two hours worth of activities and games to play with the kids. Yikes! This wouldn't be that big of a deal except that I'm having trouble really finding very active games for kids. I've found with the games I do find they are either...

A - Not physical/exciting enough for what I need them for. (made for the classroom)
or
B - Lack a team structure. (more of an ongoing classroom activity that never ends)

Each class will be competing against one another so team competition is a must! If you have any games that involve runing, sports, or team competition please post them! Even if they are harder I still might be able to simplify a game into a kindergarten version. For reference, the best game I have found so far is this one...

Get a copy of David Paul's Teaching English to Asian Children. In the back is a nice selection of games for young learners. Also, find just the games list and plenty of activities Here

Search "kindergarten" or "games" or "young learners" on EFL classroom. Plenty of downloads, videos, forum discussion on this.

Most of these books for young learners have lists of games included with them.

Also, remember, songs are games. Almost any song can be played as a simple game by adding movement, goal, guessing etc.... See some wonderful examples of this on http://supersimplesongs.com like the 10 rolled over song....
