I haven't once seen Red Bull in Korea. The only items that seem to be unobtainable are Red Bull and licorice. What other food items are completely unobtainable?

Well if you want Red Bull, there is a Korean version called Hot 6ix. I presume it is widely available as there is a huge marketing campaign on TV for it right now. It isn't quite as good but it is cheap. Less than 1000won. Pretty good.

You can get it, if you know where to look. There are a few select bars that serve it too.

Red Bull is one of the biggest rip offs of all time. People in North America will pay $2 for one bottle...

but in Thailand, the country where the stuff is from, it's 10 bhat.

That's 35 cents!

Ha, Ha! Someone is making a killing profit wise

Maybe Koreans are smart because they don't fall for the Red Bull marketing which, it turns out, is a lot of bull.

i dunno, i was addicted to red bull and other canned energy drinks (rock star comes to mind...) in college. i guess they're a rip off, but no more so than starbucks. coffee, incidentally, does very little to give me that alert feeling.

My husband was fond of the sugar free Red Bull back home. He tried the Hot 6ix a couple times just this week. He says it taste the same. I tried a sip today and it seems slightly less nasty than Red Bull.

On a related note, I did try Georgia Max coffee energy drink today and it is amazing. I did like the Monster Java drinks back home (particularly the lowball flavor) and this is quite nice. Slightly sweeter than I need, but it gives the energy without all the weird jitters. I highly recommend. Also it is 2+1 at the GS 25 minimart.

I never really liked Red Bull, but I found one of the vitamin drinks here to taste quite similar. It's in a small glass bottle with a red and while label. Have in mind that I have only drunken Red Bull 2 or 3 times in my life, and that is many many years ago, so I probably don't know the exact taste. However, it did remind me of Red Bull.

Lotte makes a new Red Bull imitation called Energy Up. Tastes so like Red Bull to the extent they should be sued.

Yeah, redbull is a joke. If you want real liquid crack you've got to try redline. I don't know if this stuff is still legal but you need to be VERY careful with this stuff. It will put you on an energy high that you may never come down from.

None of those drinks are good for you. The Thais warned me against drinking Red Bull too often.

Some energy drinks in Japan contain nicotine. ew! Shocked

You need Red Bull to make an Orange Crush

Red Bull + Grenadine. Drop in a shot glass of Absolute Citron and chug.

Best drink ever.

I got the grenadine and the Absolute Vodka. You bring the Red Bull, and we can have a party.
