Hey all,
As a lot of you know, I am really into my tech. stuff, well, somewhat. Anyhow, I have accepted a position back in the States and I will be moving in 2 months. Having said that, I will be selling off 2 computers: my beast that eats through any game and a regular, everyday computer.
I'll be posting them up in about a month, so if you are interested, keep on the look out. PM me if you want me to privately send you a quote.
The gaming rig is as follows:
Geforce 280GTX
PC16000 DDR3 ram (6gigs)
10000RPM Drive (160gigs...meant to install games and programs only)
Newest Intel Motherboard
Intel COre I7 processor
aftermarket zalman fan
Beauiful case.
Monster power supply which was imported (I think it's a crucial...I'd have to check).
Anyways, even more specifics and pictures coming soon. |

How about splitting it up..........I'd be interested in the RAM and CPU depending on exact spec. |

Hey Buddy,
No thanks. I just want to sell it whole. I will be selling it June 12th. Here are the specs:
Intel Core i7-920 2.66Ghz 8M LGA1366 CPU
Intel DX58SO Socket LGA1366 Motherboard
Corsair TX750W 750W Power Supply
Corsair Dominator 3072MB PC15000 DDR3 1866MHz
BFG GeForce GTX 280 OC 1GB PCIe w/Dual Link DVI
Seagate 1.5TB Serial ATA HD 7200/32MB/SATA-3G
Western Digital Raptor 10,000RPM 160Gig Harddrive
These are the specs, not including the case that will come with it. Also, the monitor will go with it as well. It's a 22inch flat screen. I'll get a price going soon. |

Back in the day I built a great rig. Used Corsair XMS Ram, water cooling, awesome power supply, and all the bells and whistles.
It wouldn't sell. The only person that would be interested in buying it was an enthusiast, and most enthusiasts would jsut build their own.
So, I learned my lesson. I stopped paying top dollar for parts just to eek out an extra 1% gain on FPS.
I hope you can sell yours for a good price. I woudl buy it myself, but I'm sure its well out of my price range. |

Unfortunately for you, CL, I think pkang is right. Only an enthusiast would fork out a meaningful chunk of money for that kind of system, but an enthusiast would rarely buy a complete system off someone else. We like to build our own systems with hand-picked parts.
Plus, you're trying to sell a 22'' monitor in the package. Good luck with that. |

Yeah, I know. But, for someone who is looking for a gaming rig, they may take this. I am willing to let it go for a reasonable price. I'm not looking to rip someone off. You'll see.
Also, I am willing to remove the monitor from the package. |

Ah, Okay. I have priced this machine new. Here is the breakdown:
Intel Core i7-920 2.66Ghz 8M LGA1366 CPU - 280
Intel DX58SO Socket LGA1366 Motherboard - 229
Corsair TX750W 750W Power Supply - 100
Corsair Dominator 3072MB PC15000 DDR3 1866MHz - 300
BFG GeForce GTX 280 OC 1GB PCIe w/Dual Link DVI - 300
Seagate 1.5TB Serial ATA HD 7200/32MB/SATA-3G - 110
Western Digital Raptor 10,000RPM 160Gig Harddrive - 200
Total Price, new, is $1,519USD, which by today's exchange rate is about 1,720,000WON.
Hmm, I guess 1.3 million would be reasonable? I mean, that's without the price of the monitor or the case. Thoughts? Maybe even lower if they come and pick it up from my house. This is without the monitor (22" MOTV)

hey CL
so this is the system you're gona rebuild back home? So your loss between selling this in korea and building it back home is less than it will cost to ship it?
Damn that's bad news for me if i want to ship mine!
My rig is almost the same, I may end up pricing mine too then!
Gd luck with the sale!
EDIT: I checked and it will only cost 50,000 to send mine home, although it may take a while to get back |

Seriously though, the shipping is 50,000, but the risks you take associated with shipping (e.g. weather, banging around, etc.) is just not worth it.
I won't build the same thing. I'll build something smaller as I won't have time to really game anymore. Busy stuff coming up!!!! |

Hey there, CL.
Wondering if you'd considered just selling some of the parts and taking others with you. Personally, I'd sell the case and power supply, then wrap the other stuff in bubble plastic, box it, and put it in my suitcase with some clothes around it. Or even take most of the more fragile stuff in hand-carry - like the motherboard, processor, ram, and video card. Doesn't take up much room, and I've done this a couple times. |
