Im thinking of shifting my pc from my full tower (Zalman GS1000) to mid tower case, just so it can ship more easily when i take it home.

I've found a case i'm really interested in, silverstone ft-02. The main reason is because of it's unibody design and rotated motherboard (sits at 90 degrees so that the gpus are vertical and the io plate is on the top of the case, similar to their raven series, just much more tasty)

Checked danawa and omi and the cheapest i've found is around 298,000 W, which for a case is pushing it.

Anybody know of a similar design (possibly a cheap korean/chinese ripoff) that has a rotated motherboard?

Hey OP,

You may want to price out your computer, new, back home. You may very well be able to build it again for a cheaper price than shipping it. That's what I am doing. Smile

Anyways, good luck.

hey that could be an idea.

I think it would be pretty expensive to rebuild my computer, built it myself and it cost 2million won, about a year ago, when the i7 first came out. And New Zealand is my home, stuff is really expensive there, even compared to Korea which isn't the cheapest!

I would just leave it alone and ship the thing home in that very nice Zalman case. You didn't happen to keep the box the Zalman came in, did you?

I did a quick bit of research but I couldn't find anyone but Silverstone making those top I/O panel cases right now.

Yeah it is a nice case, its just so freakin big and heavy, it was a mission to carry it from yongsan to ipark and then in the subway and on the bus to gyeongsangnam. I had dead arms afterward.

I want to change case just cause I think i could save some shipping money if the case was smaller and lighter, and cause that case is sweet

Would you consider selling off the case here in Korea, wrapping all the components up in your suitcases, then just buying a new case when you get to NZ.......I think that would be the cheapest route.

yeah could do that, i'm not sure what i'll do tho. I've got a bit more time to decide, i'll be in Korea till the end of the year. If I do sell it i'll be sure to post it on daves somewhere.

in regard to the case, if anybody finds one cheaper/imitation, let me knw...
