I will be moving to Yongin in the next couple weeks to teach, the Yongin where everland is at. Does anyone know if there are any good places nearby to trailrun, hike, rock climb, and possibly snowboard in the winter? |

There's a ski resort in Yeoju-gun, next to Yongin. Skiwear and board rental is cheap here. |

Hi Travel,
I just got here this week. Shoot me an email when you arrive. Maybe we can go exploring together...

I've been out here for a day so everything is very foreign to me right now. From the very little that I've seen (the drive from the airport and the drive to the school this morning) it's a beautiful place. The river mentioned in the similar forum is rather scenic in spots. The mountains surrounding the area are rather pretty as well. Email me at [email protected] and I will answer anything I can. |

Hi! I've been here for a bit over two weeks now and I really like the area. I'm not in the center of the city, but I still have everything I need right down the street. I've taken a bus to Suwon which took about 20 mins and I'm venturing to Seoul this weekend to check out the cherry blossoms. I've been told the bus takes about45 mins to get there. So I like living in a smaller quieter city, but still able to venture out if I want to. |

I run quite often in Yongin. Watch out for the locals, though. These cowardly Koreans like to drive their cars at you and then move out of the way at the last second. Have your eyes peeled in the back of your head so some idiot Korean doesn't hit you with their car. |

Thanks for the heads up, I've quickly noticed the drivers are crazy out here. I think I'll just stick with the river trail that is not from from where I live. |
