hey guys,

I've been back in Busan for almost 2 months now. Busan has changed a lot since I was here in 2006. Any thoughts on where a woman can get some foreigner sized clothes around here? Ahhh it's so frutrating not being a size 2.

Anyways, I'm not a "big" girl per se..pretty average size to look at... but I'm like 5'10 and I usually wear around size 10 pants and I need some that are long. Thoughts?

Check out the streets in Nampo-dong (Gugje market). And I mean the backstreet vendors, not the main street stores. They have a few large size stores. Being a male, I cannot give you specific directions to any particular store, but I know they are there. I've found clothes for myself and I'm a bigger guy. Not sure how big a size 10 is (apologies for my ignorance, I just don't take it upon myself to know women's sizes) but unless you are a very large person, just ask around and you shouldn't have too much trouble finding some clothes.

If you get up to Seoul some weekend, try Itaewon. As a last resort you can always shop the large size section from gmarket.com.

Good luck.

Nampo-dong markets and underground markets will have larger sizes.

Hi!

Shopping in busan has gotten so much better since my first year in 2005!
Im about the same size as you and some of my fav places to go are zara(there is one at lotte seomyeon and lotte next to shinsege),mango in nampodong, and club monoco (one in lotte next to shinsege n one in hyundai between seomyeon n nampodong). You might find these places a little expensive but during sale season they have good deals, all sizes, and u can try the stuff on!!

Good luck!!

Alright thanks for the suggestions everyone Smile

I will definitely check out some of those places. I knew for sure of itaewon of course, but I don`t head up to Seoul too often, so maybe next time I go up there I`ll make sure to grab a lot of stuff all in one trip. I live close to Nampodong and Ive seen some of the stores with larger men`s clothing, but I`ll have to look more closely for the women`s I guess. I had no idea there was a GAP here now. I would never usually shop there at home, but hey, if they have nice jeans in my size it`s all good.

As for the question about what`s changed, do you mean with respect to shopping or just in general?
