YooWoon Jeon is a 19-year-old boy who has just been diagnosed with lymphoma, a kind of blood cancer. He is currently in the Yonsei Severence Hospital. There is a good chance that he can recover with chemotherapy and sufficient blood transfusions, but he needs your help!
YooWoon has a type of blood that is very rare among native Koreans (B rh Negative). If you are B- you could help save his life. There are two ways, both involve blood donation. The most needed thing is platelet, a portion of the blood. This donation is almost the same as a regular donation, but takes longer (90 minutes). The second is regular blood donation , which takes roughly 30 minutes. You can donate from any blood clinic in Korea and have it sent directly to him.

Just got an urgent message on Facebook...
"Yoowoon has lost his conscious due to internal hemorrhages and infections. He received cardiac massage and managed to breathe again, and now is in the ICU. Things are not good. We desperately need donors of B- or AB- who meet the requirements for donation. If there is anyone who has not yet stepped forward, please contact us!"

Anyone else find it interesting that the article is written by a foreigner and not a local? |
