If the mods remove a topic, is it possible to notify the person who posted it and as to the reason.

If a topic was abused by certain posters, then I can understand removing it, but is it possible to explain to the poster why it was removed?

We don't explain every time we remove a thread. Doing so would require a lot of woman/man power. We often do explain. We tend to almost always explain when we lock things, not when we remove. We are often busy and on-the-go. Certain topics that deal with religion are often removed as they invite bashing of this or that group. We can't enforce that 100%, but we make a go of it.
