I found to my delight extra money in my paycheck this week, but there has to be a catch! I was told that the ladies in the business office go over the figures once a year and if a teacher has over paid or under paid on the health insurance they make the corrections to that persons paycheck. Is this normal? I thought they know the correct percentage and deduct the amount each month. I just hope that I do not get any surprises in the minus column next month. |

This sounds like a matter that could only be answered by someone at your work. |

It happened to me. Actually, because it happened around 추석, I had thought the new administrative staff gave me a bonus. Our old administrator insisted that foreign teachers never get bonuses so was certain that couldn't have been it, but it wouldn't surprise me if the new staff didn't realize that and simply made a mistake.
They never took it back. |

Sounds like the adjustments that are made after your tax return has been done and your income for last year was adjusted.
Happened to me every year at a PS.
I wouldn't sweat it and there shouldn't be any surprises next month.
