I recently received an offer (no contract yet) from LCI and I have been doing some searching around in the forums here. I have seen only a few things about LCI and they are mixed to not great reviews. The only posts that I have been able to find are from 2007 or earlier. I was wondering if anyone can tell me anything new about this school or is all the info I've found so far still pertinent? Any and all suggestions/opinions would be great thanks!

The details of my offer are as follows:

Tue / Thu 9:00am-4:30pm
30 Teaching Hours/week
KW 2.5 million won

1 Month Salary after accomplish contract.

The institute is in a very good area of Seoul (Shinjung-Dong) and is in one of the best looking buildings in the city.

A few former employees of this branch did submit unfavourable letters to Dave's a few years ago about their experiences at that Kids Club. However, the school could have changed for the better if there is a new manager and/or owner as such changes are not uncommon in the Korean EFL industry. So, please check it out further, etc.

Hi,
I'm Currently at an LCI, not the one you are looking at. They are not all the same, but the one I am at is terrible.
The information I was given before signing my contract was almost the exactly the same as yours, but in reality it's different...
The hours on my contract were off, 10-6, in reality, 10-7 (teaching time not overtime)
They do not pay into pension, and we don't have medical coverage.
The student ages range from 3(american age) on up to 12.
The school also does not provide a curriculum, they provide the book, and sometimes the number of pages to be covered in a month, but not what to do within a class.

None of that is too bad, and that's specifically at the LCI I work at. I just wanted to give you a heads up. Try to speak to more than one foreign teacher at the school, and preferably one who has already finished their contract.

Thanks, fires_dreams. I will make sure I do as much homework as I possibly can.

Did you go through a recruiter when you received your offer and contract? Or did you find and get the job on your own. I'm just curious. Thanks again.
