|
|
| I just got my visa stamp and it expires a year from today, but my contract is up in June. Will I have to extend my visa? If so, is it a pain? Has anyone else had visas that expired before contract was up? I don't know why they had today's date on the stamp, when i told them i was heading there the end of May. |

ARE you talking about your ENTRY stamp or the dates on your VISA.
Your E2 STARTS on the day you enter Korea (NOT the date you got your visa).
Your status of SOJOURN is good for 1 year from your ENTRY date and not dependent on your visa dates.
To answer your other questions:
1) yes
2) no - simple application and some basic paperwork and 30k won.
3) yes, it is common.
4) See comments above.

To clarify, my visa stamp is good from today - 4/21/2011. That is what is says on my visa stamp.
However, I assume that means i cannot re-enter the country after 4/21/2011.
So, once i arrive in Korea that will be my actual starting date for my E2? |
