Hey,
Just in relation to the EPIK application, I need a Korean Criminal Background check as I am currently living here. Does anyone know if I can go to my local Police Station, or does it have to be the Metropolitan District Station? I am in Busan and it seems the major Police Station is in Yeonje-Gu. Has anyone had to get this yet??? |

Hey, I'm in Busan too, and I had to get a Korean background check too. Everyone I talked to said they never heard of this. I even posted on here and everyone assumed I must be guilty of something.
All I did was sign three documents and my school did the rest. I work at a hagwon though.
They didn't take any fingerprints. My guess is that crime by foreigners is on the rise and they want to keep a closer eye on us drug addicted, alcoholic, HIV spreading, crazy pedophiles they call waygooks. |

Haha, funny but true! Do you know if you got yours at your local Police Station or the head station in Yeonje-Gu? Seems like a hidden myth this Korean Criminal Background malarky!! |

I got a background check from a police station in Suwon. I needed it to work back home. Works both ways!!! Anyway, I just walked in with a friend, no money changed hands, filled in one form with my name and ARC number and two secs later. BAMM. Got my CBC. Says I'm good to go. Didn't combit a single crime..... |
