They'll post when they need to start hiring people in the fall; another month or 2. There won't be many jobs offered, btw. I know a guy who told me they only hired 2 people this last semester. Almost everyone in that district has a CELTA or a teaching license, and/or several years of experience in Korea. Good luck.

I interviewed for March intake last November if that gives you an indication when they do interviews.

At the interview he told me that due to budget contraints (economic climate) that he wasn't sure how many people they will need. Was offered the job but turned it down in the end.

My understanding is that teachers really don't leave Gangnam very much. Like the other poster they have high expectations and look for qualifications as well. To give you an idea of what they are looking for I have a graduate certificate is TESOL and had completed a semester in my Masters in TESOL when I applied.

There are regular observations - more than SMOE - through out the semester.

You are interviewed by a foreigner and are asked very relevant questions about teaching methodologies. Very different to SMOE or Hagwon interview questions about kimchi and how Korea has 4 seasons. So you really have to prepare yourself.

Also, the application process was submit letter and cv then if they like you you submit a lesson plan of a given topic adding any extra material you would use for that lesson plan.

Hope that helps
