Entry fee: 20,000won

You can now enter at Hyosung Camera. Entries are open until May 15th.
If you can't make it into the store you can send the fee through bank transfer. Call Paul at 010 7203 9599

The first 40 entries will be guaranteed a place on the bus. Another bus will be put on when we get enough people to make it worthwhile. Anyone that doesn't get the bus can make their own way there. Directions will be supplied.

Location: 경기도 파주시 심학산 일원 - Shimhak Mountain Floral Festival
Date: June 6th, 2010

Itinerary:
9:00 Meet at Hyosung Camera
9:30 Depart on the bus
~11:00 Arrival
11:00 Opening ceremony
11:30 Lunch and begin shooting
~5:00 Finish
~5:30 Leave for Seoul
~7:30 Arrive Seoul Station

Theme: Open

Equipment should be kept sensible ie. Camera(s) and tripod. In the interests of a even competition, we want to keep everyone in (more or less) the same boat. Multiple strobes and umbrellas and whatever aren't cool. If you have any questions about this, please ask. We know it's a bit of a gray area, so please be patient.

Prizes:
1st - Nikon D90 kit with 18-55 VR kit lens and KPPA membership.
2nd - Sigma DP2
3rd - 3 x Manfrotto Tripods
4th - 5 x A selected gift

Eligibility: Any foreign passport holder.

Image requirements:
Up to three 8 x 10 prints.
No HDR images.
Excessive digital manipulation will be taken in to account by the judges.

Submission:
Maximum 3 entries to be submitted to Hyosung Camera between 15th June and 15th July.

Judging:
From 25th to 30th July.
Winner will be announced before 15th August
Prizes awarded sometime between 23rd and 27th August at the 53rd International Seminar of the KPPA.
Winners must attend the awards ceremony to collect their prize. If you cant attend, you are ineligible.

Other information:
Submitted images must be taken on the day and must be exclusive to this competition.
Images rights will be retained by the photographer, but the prints will not be returned.

POINTS TO NOTE:

1. You need to submit prints due to the vagaries of digital display.

2. All participants will receive a small gift.

3. Entry fee includes bus fare and boxed lunch.

4. Judging will be conducted by the KPPA with one expat guest judge.

No doubt there are questions, ask away.

There are entrants at present from as far away as Gwangju.

But yes, it's an unfortunate reality that if you want exposure and attendance at an event - especially an expat event, it must be done in or near Seoul.
