Most of us here when needing a laptop or netbook usually buy one overseas and bring it here.
It seems that we are breaking Korean law and can be fined up to 20 million won for using a piece of equipment with telecommunications ability (wireless internet). Some newer netbooks even take a cell phone sim card.

Keep those netbooks hidden away. |

It only applies to certain new products that have just come out recently. any established tech is not gonna be problems. that being said, glad I bought my Samsung laptop here. |

With Korea being such a highly advanced technological society, why hasn't Apply tapped into the phenom?
Sounds like Jobs has an international relations division asleep at the wheel. Or not enough freebies for those in charge of granting approval for use in Korea? |

Next in the news: Culture Minister Yu In-chon pays no fine, law repealed!
