|
|
For the last three days or so, I have been getting intermittent drop-outs in my internet connection (KT).
I have unplugged from the router and gone straight from the wall into the back of my computer and get the same problem, so I know it is not the router.
Is anyone else having the same problem with KT or know what else I might check? |

YES! I figured it was my wireless router. I haven't tried plugging it straight into the wired box. It's been happening for about a month. At first it was mostly when streaming videos (aherm), but it has been doing it on most any site lately.
Strangely, it doesn't seem to cut out if I just leave a torrent running. |

For me it seems to be mostly browsing that gets cut out.
When I look at my torrents, they are running, but I get a "Connection Error" in my browser. Strange.
I have even turned off my torrents to see if that made a difference, but it did not. |

Does yours reconnect automatically? Mine usually does after a minute or two. Sometimes I click on the connection icon, and hit refresh wireless networks, and it will reconnect before it even finishes refreshing. Frickn' weird. |

| I regularly get short service drop outs both at school and apartment on our SK internet services. I also noticed not all connections are equal. My work computer has faster internet connection than the classroom computer just 3 meters away, but on it's on separate line. There's this huge router box in the corner of the English classroom where the whole buildings internet connections come out of with a bundle of Ethernet wires going into a hole in the wall. one would think all same things are equal, but things are not what they often appear to be. I might have the fastest internet, but I got the crappiest CRT monitor while all other school computers have modern LCD's. |

Yeah. Sometimes i have to wait a minute or two. Sometimes repairing my connection helps, sometimes it doesn't.
I don't use wireless (though I do use a router). I think the problem is with KT (so far as I can figure). |

My internet is really struggling just now. It's dropping out for about 3 minutes in every 10. It's definitely the modem or line. I just reset the box, and the data light was off, then when I reset it, it came on flashing (maybe it's meant to do that).
Pain in the ass! Why doesn't stuff just work. |
