I have an olympus EP-2 that I am considering these for. Forgive me for being a rookie, but I am wondering what kinds of limitations, if any, exist when attached to my pen camera with the adaptor? Is there auto-focus? Any in camera adjustments that I must make? Also, I notice that you won't split the package up though you have two 35mm lenses with similar apertures. Again, rookie here, but is there any practical application for me to owning these two at the same time if I were to buy the package?
Thanks,
Dave. |

Those lenses are Canon FD lenses. You will have to focus manually, set up aperture on the lens. They are very good lenses, sharp, small and great alternative to expensive Olympus M 43. I bought them as I was planing to use them on Panasonic GH1. Canon came up with 550D and I got this camera. Unfortunately Canon FD lenses can't focus on Canon EOS digital camera (go figure), but they are excellent on M 4/3 like Pen or Panasonic G series. You can ask some questions about those lenses on DPreview forum here: http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/forum.asp?forum=1041
Many people are using those lenses, as they are cheaper and faster, than Micro 43 lenses. As for the prices, I want to sell as a set, as I don't need them anymore. However, if you want just to get some of them, my prices are as follow: both 28/35 F2.8 are 60K, 35 F2 is 110K, adapter 50K. As package I will lower the price, but let me know, which one you might be interested in and I will send you the quote.

Thank you for positive comment GG.
CHD:If you are beginner in photography, you will need to spend some time to learn how to use aperture. shutter and ISO combination. Those lenses are a great alternative to expensive and slower native 4/3 lenses. I am using Olympus OM lenses on Canon 550D, I focus manually but camera shows proper exposure depending on aperture/shutter speed. Results are very good and lenses cost fractions of what Canon EF lenses would. Set I am selling would be 56 and 70mm on M4/3 - good portrait setup with F2.8 and 2.0 really good for low light. Also inculded is brass made (much stronger than aluminum) adapter for Pen. Price is negotiable, so if you are interested let me know. |

hey thanks for the information. I have been doing a bit of reading, and as I am nowhere near a professional, I don't know how comfortable I would be having to rely on setting everything manually for the lenses. I mean, I would be comfortable setting one value myself, but it sounds like I would have a lot more reading to do before I could make proper use of these. I like the idea of them, and what I could eventually use them for, but I think they are just a bit out of my league in terms of what the lenses require of me at this stage in the game. I wish you all the best with the sale! |

Thanks, I put them on eBay as well. Anyway is not a big deal, actually much easier on EVIL cams then dslr, as you can mgnify view in EVF. All you set is aperture (there is ring on lens with markings 2.0, 2.8, ...31) and then (looking trough magnified viewfinder) turn focusing ring till it became sharp, not difficult task, but it might sound a bit complicated for new user.Have fun with Pen, once you got comfy with it, reconsider using MF lenses as they are sometimes offer great capabilities at franction of cost. |
