Okay, I'm about to be out of here. Anyone who wants to come out and drop by and drink a few brews is more than welcome to do so.

After much thought.. thinking of just drinking beer at THE DOORS Bar (at least in the evening part.. can't say for the much later at night part). Probably gonna be there in the evening maybe around 8pm. Its in SHINCHON (one subway stop from HongDae). Big pitchers of beer there are 8000 won and I feel like going out with a bang.. heh heh

Its request rock-n-roll bar.. so you can think of any kinds of music you want to play.. they seem to specialize in the music by the Doors.. hmm.. who would have figured that?

If you don't know where its at.. its easy to find.. on a corner of a second floor.. with a little wandering in Shinchon you'll come across it quickly.. if you have a Seoul Lonely Planet you can even see it on their map. They have a HUGE sign in RED exactly the same lettering design as any Doors album you've ever seen.. almost impossible not to miss in that neighborhood.

OH.. by the way.. this will be SATURDAY around 8pm.

Let us know how your Spain adventures go.

See you in the summer. First pitcher's on me (figurtively, not in a Maxx Power sense).

Thanks!! Most likely I'll be back in the Summer.

Kind of short notice for tonight.. but just thought I'd throw it out there.. had a couple PM messages if I was gonna do something.. so this'll be it. Of course probably lingering around somewhere or another all weekend though..

Just sold the computer and printer and everything else. The house is looking pretty empty in a good way!!

Out of here very early Wednesday morning.. can't wait. Nice way to end a 3-day weekend, right? Come back work a day and fly out the next..

I'm being help prisoner here or I'd show up. You'll meet some interesting people there. Always go out with a bang rather than a whimper, but I'm I'm a whimp.
See you when you get back for summer camp.
You know what I mean I mean when I say LR would like what you are doing. I'm an old man, nobody ever listens to anything I say.
Well my motto is let's just loot the art gallaries of Europe and torch up anybody who gets in our way!
I think what you are are doing is VERY COOL. Maybe others would laugh. I think you are doing a good job.
Think about what an airhead idea it was to just to just slough off reality and say "It seemed like a good idea at the time."
Nice thing for movie stars to say etc.
Here is a toast for you from the DMZ.!
In my life... What the hell is the point to violence. Jaja dude just called me. Missed you at your appointed place in time.
I'm just an old man, everybody laughs at me.
Take what you are doing seriously, not just a vacation in Spain "Too Many people think of it as just a TDI and not enough...."
You'll meet some interesting people.
I'll miss you. You might listen to some of the people you'll meet.
I guess maybe nobody else will.
Always your friend of the undertrodden, even of the Ubbertrotters at times.
I drink, I'm an asshole, we both are. We hang out too much at night (you'll love Spain.)
I'm trying to figure out my life, old and ugly, but you have never seen me refuse a girl a dance.
That includes a lot of things.
I'll miss you.
Tom

Yo, TB, sorry I couldnt make it out to Shinchon, particularly as I was one of the people who PMd you. Looked in my wallet and discovered The Bobster is less than half as solvent as Joe T, and payday dont come around until the 10th keep in touch and well catch up when youre back in the summer.

And, Tom, no worries, well grab more beers in a short while, and thats a fact. Expect some mail soon.

You guys missed out on free beer!! Oddly enough the DOORS BAR celebrated their 15th anniversary last night. So they held this contest and played a song.. whichever table guessed the song would have whatever they'd drank and ordered up to that point paid for. Fortunately we had a Korean among us to translate the Korean to English.

The song they played was 'Roadhouse Blues' by the Doors. Hahaha.. easy one! And free beer. We decided we're going to meet back here again 5 years from now on the 20th anniversary.. just get drunked ripped all day long.. and try to win it again.. Wink

Anyhow, fairly small party of us last night. Due to lack of planning on my part. Just threw this post up here late Friday night and most didn't see it or already had plans for the night when they did see it sometime Saturday. Still, had a good time.. and would have done more or less the same thing anyhow..

Joe Thanks and The Bobster made a massive strategic blunder - to be low on cash on a Saturday night AND miss out of free beer? Omigod

Best wishes for the Spain project, Tiger. Drop by the Cafe when you get a spare moment between flamenco dances and all.

Indeed. Sad

Real men like their peace, and their beer.

Joe would like to have one or the other, but preferably both right now, in hell, er Ulsan.

TB - be careful, be safe, be well, post when you can and have fun.

Adios, for now,

Joe
