I was going to get a 3GS with my March severance money. Might get a HTPC instead and spend my July birthday money on the new iPhone (presuming they release it here in good time). |

It's a Micro SIM slot, not Micro SD slot. I agree, though, that Apple will not be including expandable memory on any iPhone (because then they can't charge an extra $100 to double the internal memory). However, they are currently using the Micro SIM in the iPad, so it is reasonable to expect them to start using that on the iPhone as well.
Overall, it seems pretty cool to me. I like the design. The rumored resolution of 960x640 is pretty awesome as well, but I would actually prefer a slightly larger screen rather than the higher resolution. |

| It looks a lot better than the 3GS. It will probably be expensive as hell the first year, if it is even sold outside the US... |

I disagree Mr. Pink.
It will be the same price as the current iPhones. Apple rarely if ever raises product prices; Apple only raises specs. Just look at the price history of its computers, iPods, and iPhones. Rarely have there been any price increases. Instead, there are only improvements to the specs.
On a side note, it looks like the phone in question is the real deal. Apple has sent a legal notice to Gizmodo demanding the phone be returned to Apple.

Carrying around your media on the physical device will be a thing of the past, very soon. Even dragging and dropping files is cumbersome, compared to simply streaming your media either over your home wifi (easy now), or over public wifi or 3G (possible now, but not perfect). Air Video absolutely crushes watching movies over wifi in your home. It will play files native to the iPhone, or convert them on the fly.
Of course, you want to watch your movies on the go. I haven't tried it over public wifi (I think you need to set up a VPN or some such) and I only have an iPod Touch, so no 3G, but it's meant to be doable, and will be more so in the very near future. |

Phone shop guy told me that he expects to be selling it some time in June. |

If phone shop guy is talking about the prototype phone which was recently lost and recovered by Gizmodo, phone shop guy is talking out of his rear. No one, including Apple, has made any statement about the prototype phones availability. It's all guesswork. Phone shop guy just doesn't want to say "I don't know." |

Yes, but everybody else knows that:
1) For the last three years, iPhones have been released in June.
2) Apple has rented the Moscone Center for June 22, 2010 (where they hold iPhone keynotes).
3) AT&T has told its employees that they can't take vacations in June.
This leads to the speculation that the next iPhone will be released in June 2010. I feel fairly certain that the US will see a June 2010 iPhone release.
However, I also think it is quite likely that (the?) South Korean carrier(s?) will not start selling the next iPhone at the same time that (the?) US carrier(s?) start selling it. |

| Just look at non-iPhone Apple products to get an idea of the Korean release dates. The iPod Touch is typically released here about 2-3 months after the U.S. release IIRC. I would be surprised if the iPhone was any different. |
