|
|
Hey All-
I posted a while ago about a job offer in Paju at an elementary school. I was "offered" the job, and when the school found out how much I'm worth, it was yanked out from under me. Unfortunately (I guess?), I have a degree, a year of teaching experience, and a teaching certification.
I was also offered another position in Geoje which was rescinded when I mentioned that I would be bringing both my husband and my pets. Even with my insistence that we have lived in very small spaces and can handle it, they told me my apartment would not be sufficient and took back my offer (that one stung...it was going to be 2.9M).
I had an interview on Thursday with a school where the final question was "Are you healthy?" I assume this was in reference to the fact that I sounded congested because I had a cold. I haven't heard from that school, though they insisted they would let me know what their decision was.
I had been working with a recruiter, and she just stopped contacting me. I'm worried that the one I'm working with now may be doing the same. What am I supposed to do? Am I just doomed to be unable to find a position? Does anyone know a recruiter they would recommend? |

I'd recommend www.footprintsrecruiting.com, they got my a job fairly quickly while I was struggling with other recruiters, however, it does seem that times are tougher than they've been in recent years and finding a good job might be difficult, I'd recommend expanding your search to other countries as well. The key is don't lose heart and keep trying, something will invariably come. |

one of the few recruiters with a good reputation on here is Korvia (Joyce)
I and many others have had good experiences with them and they reply back to you in a timely manner and they specialize primarily in PS positions.
Allastair from Korea Connections is pretty good also. |

Am I ever going to find a school that will allow me to take my dogs? |

I don't know where you're from but I've always found that it's difficult to rent with pets...heck I've encountered difficulties renting when I went from one kid up to two kids.
That said, just keep trying. I'm sure there'll be someone who'll take a chance on you (and your dogs). |
