Hello,

I recently had a bit of a blitz on getting all my documents ready for moving to Korea and I fear I may have gone a bit overboard. I have now applied for my F4 visa and also have my university transcripts and a criminal background check from Disclosure Scotland. It then struck me....do I actually need the criminal background check and transcripts to apply for teaching jobs?? Or do recruiters only require these documents for the E2 visa application? I imagine that my degree certificate will still be needed so I'm going to get a notarised copy.....shall I do the same with the criminal background check as well? I don't want to waste money (which I fear I may already have done Confused ) getting documents notarised when I might not even need them.

IF you are going to work for a public school they will ask for them anyway as a condition of employment.

With an F4 at a hakwon, probably not likely.

Thanks for the response! I'm only applying to private schools so I think I'm going to risk not getting the criminal background check notarised.

as for whether contradictions taste good.... I think the jury is still out. Now mixing two different Starbursts by twisting them around each other.... priceless... Laughing
