Can anyone recommend any good places in Busan to hang out, other than Hyeundai beach or Texas street? I'm going there in a few weeks and would liekto hit up a few bars with some friends but really don't know where to go.

There's a massive fish market. You can get freshly killed Sashimi for a good price and some soju. Go with a friend.

Gwangalli is a good place to go to especially when the weather warms up. Some nice bars and a few beers on the beach.

Texas Street? Who recommended that? Very Happy

Lol oh God...sounds like Lonely Planet.

Don't go to Texas street. There's nothing to see and you'll be finished in five minutes.

1) Kyungsung uni area (KSU)- This is THE hub for nightlife. Every Friday and Saturday this place is packed with foreigners and Koreans. For clubs I'd recommend Foxy or Ghetto. For bars you should try HQ, Ol'55, Thursday Party.

2)Nampo-dong-maybe the best place to shop. It's a great combination of new and old korea. it has a massive traditional Korean market, a brand new Lotte department store, and a street of mid/upscale shopping.

3)Seomyeon- great for shopping and nightlife.

4)PNU- Pusan national uni-maybe tied for Seomyeon with a second best for nightlife.

5)Beomosa- a great temple to escape the city. it's in the forest on a mountain but is easily accessible by subway/bus

There's lots more places, but I'll let others give some suggesstions Smile

+1

I recommend Kraze Burger on the beach at Gwangalli for a hangover-cure burger and a hair of the dog.

Best party place in Busan^*

Kyungsung is probably your best bet - I prefer PNU but, most go to Kyungsung. Seomyeon or Nampo-dong are also good. There are bars everywhere - most are accessible.

Actually, I just wanted to go someplace and hang out. I'm in Songtan and theres plenty of places I can go here. But I want to get out of town for a day or 2 with some co-workers. The time when my wife's out of town is the perfect time to go. I don't want Texas Street hookers.

Yes, Kyungsung Uni area (see satellite map below) is definitely the best area...
