This warning is on a multi-use rechargable trimmer that I've had for a few weeks. I love it and plan on bringing it with me but I am wondering what would happen if I charged it using a voltage converter. Is it a fire hazard? Will it ruin the battery or the trimmer? Does using it with a voltage converter rip a hole in the universe into another dimension? Just wondering why it might have this warning and if anyone else has used a similar appliance in Korea or any other country with an unpleasant result. |

The voltage is fine. It's the frequency that may be a problem. I'm no expert, but some countries use 50Hz and some 60Hz. If you have the wrong frequency, things like clocks and trimmers will operate strangely. However, for charging I don't see a problem. |
