For a few years I had always heard of the Marmot's hole, but never really cared to read it, until recently. Finally, after giving it a try, I have to admit: I'm hooked. The site is well-written & very informative. I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to read it.
Anyone else know of other good blogs such as this? Let's make a list of the top blogs here...
If you haven't heard of the Marmot's Hole, or you haven't given it a chance yet, here's the link:

| I like it too. Primarily because there's some maturity to his writing vs other unnamed blogs which usually consists of a 20-something year old guy on his first trip outside the US complaining about how oppressed and persecuted he is by the terrible, racist Koreans...all the while displaying minimal Korean language ability. |

Exactly. I am so over that.
This guy is clearly very educated about Korea and as someone who lived here for about 4 years - ish in total, on and off, I gotta say this is a refreshingly educated perspective on things.
Yeah, the whole "wow, I'm in Korea!" thing gets really old, really fast. |

Yeah...I will risk being banned and say that I also love Mister Wonderful. An Idiot's Tale is the best blog on Korea, in Korea and around Korea. I don't care what he writes about...I'll read it. I don't know why.
I don't dig on the whole self important blog crew, with their cronies at 10 magazine and their little circle jerk clique.
Maybe that's just me.
I also hate those blogs where people put up a lot photos of stuff and write "Koreans...blah blah blah"...."in Korea we...blah blah blah". They write like they understand everything about Korea after a week, and run these photos of themselves eating kimchi like they invented it.
Maybe I'm getting cynical. |

This is my favourite. Very informative and interesting, albeit a bit long-winded. |
Yes. Gusts is the best for original, researched stories. The recent French Scandal series was very well done. Appreciate the translations and analysis.
Marmot's hole is #1 for daily news and other interesting junk. |

| There are about 5 or 6 other blogs that are worthwhile too. I appreciate the effort from most bloggers. |
