I'm using a HP dv9500 which likes to randomly pretend it's a paperweight.
The Nvidia 8600m gt overheats and shuts down regularly, and it seems the problems are better controlled in Ubuntu? I'm not going to do command line ish, so...
If there's anyone out there familiiar and willing, I can pay you for your time if you're willing to change the settings to undervolt the graphics card.
