So I took my husband back with me to the states and spent all of our key money on finishing school. Does anyone know of a real estate agent/apartment that needs little key money, like equal to one month's rent?

I'm living in Kangnam and wanting to stay nearby central Seoul. Noksapyeong area is definitely being considered. Any suggestions/recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Also, has anyone heard of a hagwon letting you choose the apartment and giving the key money? Usually they spend 10mil and I can get a nice apartment with cheap rent for that.

I had a 2 bedroom apt in Haebangcheon for 1 mil deposit and 400,000 a month. Pretty damned good. Bought all my furnitature for a 300,000 total at Yongsan 2nd hand warehouse and it wasd all in v good condition.

I heartilly reccomend the lady who runs the 'UN REALTY' estate agents / realtor.

She speaks English and is very friendly and helpful.

A tip - never and I mean NEVER accept the 1st place she shows you. They always try and get the least popular places let first, usually the 2nd or 3rd place will be WAY better and the same price....

Also living in the HBC can be cool but I felt like I was still at college / student union bar after a year, so I left. I want to feel like I'm in the adult world... Seeing 23 yr old whities in frayed jeans, sandals and scruffy t-shirts in constant party / working vacation mode every day gets kind of old when you're in your 30's and have been here a few years....

Where is she exactly? Can you narrow the search at all?
