Anyone use either of these guys recently? I saw a blog about them a few days ago and it painted a very unflattering image of their operations. However, as I read through the forums here, they seems to get decent marks. I got an incredibly low quote for a ticket to the US from Soho and am a but apprehensive as a result. Your comments are greatly appreciated. |

Xanadu has been really helpful for the few trips in Asia that I've managed to take. They get back to you quick with confirmation and e-ticket information. Prices were competitive when I was searching amongst other travel agents. |

I've booked with Xanadu once and they were fine. I've worked with Zenith several times as well and they were also helpful, although having someone who can speak Korean to them helps. |

Soho travel are usually one of the first travel agents I contact when enquiring about a ticket and usually end up going with them 90% of the time as they`re efficient at replying fast and have cheaper prices.
Kangsan travel are pretty good too from my experiences.
Xanadu seems to have improved judging by the previous 2 posts. Heard a few stories about them and Zenith that were not so favorable in terms of confirmation of bookings etc
STA Travel are pretty terrible. Just called them today and they`re always overpriced and/or never have tickets available. |

Thanks for all the replies. It seems both agencies are kosher. I will book with Soho. Thanks again. |

+2 for Soho. They've been great in my experience (booked with them 3 times now- always the cheapest, never any weirdness- not saying it doesn't occur, just not in my experience). |

one more for Soho. I've used them 3 times, and they've always treated me well.
I've used several others, like Kangs and Xanadu, and if the money's the same, I'd go with Soho. But I've had good experiences with all three. |

I tried them once, but didn't end up buying the ticket. They were polite and tried hard to give good service, I can give them credit for that.
I have never found any travel agent cheaper than an online site. |

I used Xanadu a couple of times.
Haven't seen any good deals on their for a while. I hate how they exclude taxes in their quoted prices on the website though.
A few years ago they had a round trip ferry with one night in a decent hotel package in Fukuoka for 240K. |

I've used Soho with no issues whatsoever, they were prompt and great.
Xanadu was not so great, did not reply or seem to care, and their prices were higher.
Shoestring travel in Hongdae has been the best travel agent we've used so far with the lowest prices, friendliest service, and you get a discount on lonely planet when you book tickets w/ them. |

I send emails to Xanadu, Zenith, and SoHo whenever I'm looking for tickets. Depending on the date and destination, different sources have proven better.
SoHo usually provides the fastest and most polite response.
That said, sometimes booking yourself is the best deal. |

I tried to get tickets from Xanadu once, but the flights they had advertised online were all sold out and they sent me quotes for flights they could book instead and they were insanely expensive. |

for flights to the states soho is pretty good, also use them to book business trips for the wife.
i have found for booking to say thailand you are better off checking the airline websites directly. last week i was at soho on some business and asked them for the fare on thai to bangkok leaving june 29 returning july 24, they told me it was 585,000 won, went to the thai website, same dates and flights, fare (tax included) was 453,500. thats a big difference |
