My boss drives the school bus all day. I rarely see him, thank God.

My boss's wife does everything including cleaning the school and making lunch and dinner for him and their kids. She does all the paper work, enrollments, deals with the parents etc. Must be nice.

What you write there isn't really lazy but unorganized. One of my friends is like this but he is one of the hardest workers I know(maybe because he is so unorganized Smile ).

Anyhow....my boss is a hard working man. To be honest him and his wife are 2 of the kindest people I have ever met(yes, they run a hagwon) and work hard at their business.

I know the type you are referring to though as a lot of my friends mention their bosses basically does nothing except say a few helloes and watch TV all day with a couple of meet and greets with parents. This is fine I suppose but when they start telling you how to do your job (when they have no clue themselves) is when it gets frustrating.

You need to define "work" and "lazy" better, because it really depends on what your personality is suited for. My boss does a LOT of answering phones, chatting with parents, driving the kids around, stuff like that. Not exactly heavy labour, but it can be exhausting if you're not that kind of person. So as far as the business side is concerned I'd say he's not lazy at all. When it comes down to meeting the teacher's needs, though...yeah, he definitely needs to improve.

Being unorganised (disorganised is English but doesn't seem to fit here) is a kind of laziness. They are too lazy to plan ahead...this seems to go for all Koreans not just those in management positions.

Our supervisor teaches on or two classes a day some months, hires new teachers (about 10 per year) and transmits the higher ups whims to us...

Rest of the time she sits at her desk staring into space - we think she has mental health issues like so many here seem to.

We feel her only role is as a fuse - if there is problem, they can change the fuse as they say in France.

my boss does nothing but watch the screens that project our classes all day long. if there's extra work to be done, it's his wife that does it. my boss is quite possibly the laziest person i've ever met in my entire life (the most vindictive as well).

by boss do you mean director or owner?

My director is a useless peice of gopher shyte who couldnt find his a.s.s. with both hands in his back pockets(by his own admission he is the best director in Korea)

The owners, he is a kind good man she is a dragon

I wish the many managers and owners I have worked with would learn the adage

"Work Smarter, Not Harder".

My current boss/owner is not lazy. Sometimes I see him and he sitting on his ass. Other times he works till late and runs around. all day

But my owner/boss does not have I think at times a lot of duties. So sometimes he is all over the place others times he is sitting staring into space - trying to look important.

Previous Boss/Owner. I think was a bit lazy. He would work hard when needed but the guy definitly need a book on organizing and another on time management.
