Hi there!

Long story short. I've been in and out of Korea.
I came to Korea to teach Enlgish. When I got here I worked for a few months. When I applied the first and second time there was a problem. So now I can not get an E2 visa here because of the problem my university is going through right now (they lost accreditation because they don't have much money to renew).

However, I have nothing back at home and I want to live and work in Korea. Now I know many people out here work illegally part time. I don't want to do that.If I get caught I'll be sent home to nothing.

Can someone please tell me what kind of visa I can get on or something...

I'm still young...and I'm willing to work in any job. I'm a musician so anything would do. Now,

someone told me that I can get a musician job...But how and where??? I'm running out of money and no one seems to help.

I still have 3 months left on my tourist visa. I just need some sort of visa to stay here or sponsor or something I don't know how it goes.

MY QUESTIONS: WHAT DO I DO?????

HELP!!!!!!!

By the way I've called the immigration and they don't know jack!
My embassy tells me things that they read of the internet and the immigration tells me to read on the internet.
Once they even sent me details of all the visas in KOREAN!

questions need answers to answer your questions.

Where are YOU from? (country of passport)
What country is your university in?
Do you have all the other required documents (CBC, transcripts, etc)?

Surely, you can prove your university was accredited when you went there. If that's the case, you should be able to get into Korea. Get everything stamped by your local K consulate office. Show the dates you went there. Call or email the uni governing body and get some proof that it the uni was certified in the past. If you can get beyond the consulate there, you should be good. I assume it was the consulate that denied you. I would keep arguing with them until they give in. Don't take no for an answer, but first get the proof you need to back it up. If you sent the documents and it was immi here that declined, go back to the consulate and get their help. Don't accept no for an answer. Also, try and get a letter from your uni explaining the prob.

find the uni body that certifies get in touch with them, ask them for a letter explaining the uni was cerfitied in the past. Get them to send or email it to you with contact info. Then go to immi and get this straightened out. Maybe go to a different office than before. IF you get the green light, go to a hogwan and get to work.

Thank you for the advice.
But I tried everything.
Now, I need to get on any other type of visa to stay here.
What visa do you suggest I get on?
Or what other option do I have ?

I called the university and they said they will get back to me. That was 3 weeks ago. Also, the accreditation board has not gotten back to me. I think they feel that I could possible shut the university down or something in that sort.

So now what? Sad cause I really don't want to go back.

PS: I could DJ I'm good at that...But how do I even find a job without any connections?????

i think you have three options.

1. get on a tourist visa and then leave the country every 3/6 months (depending on your nationality) to renew it. i'm not sure if it's legal or not to teach on a tourist visa (i'm guessing NOT) but uhh.. it's been done.

2. get a fake diploma (most definitely illegal and i'm not advocating that you do this).

3. get a student visa, stay in the country for six months after receiving your ARC, and then get a work permit which will permit you to take a part-time job. this will require you to be enrolled at all times in a korean university ($$$).

also, there's some sort of "internship" program (with GEPIK?) that will allow you to teach without a university degree. don't know much about it but maybe someone else does.

Same questions...

It is impossible to give you advice or answer your question without knowing your country of passport and academic or professional qualification.

Without any information all you qualify for is a 30-90 day tourist stamp or C3 90-day tourist visa.

Getting LEGAL work as a DJ is not possible unless you are world renowned or have enough cash to get a D8 visa and open your own club.
