Just picked up a used Korean 360 Elite and want to know what the consequences of modding it would be? It's a newer model (within a year) and I don't plan on playing games on XBox live. Any info would be appreciated.

This is second-hand information, so confirm anything before doing it. It also applies to older versions of the 360, so I don't know if it changes for the newer versions.

As long as you don't use XBox Live, for the most part you are okay. There may be problems with games that update to leaderboards though, so it's safer to just never connect it to the internet.

Apparently you're even fine with online games (or games that update to the leaderboard), as long as you're using it the 'proper' way and just playing backups of your own games without letting anyone else have the originals (as no-one else will be playing a copy of the same disc at the same time) or playing games from other regions.
