Hey all,

Firstly thank you for all your help on previous question.

So I have my fiancee's and my Canadian CRC (already notorised by lawyer).

I'm just wondering if I can take her's and mine into the Embassey in Ottawa to get notorised again without her being there?

She is a teacher so doesn't really want to take half a day off to do it. Very busy at school with trying to teach the rest of the curriculium with only 8 weeks left.

I'm not positive, but I think that she'll need to be there. I know that when I got mine notarized in November they required me to show my passport. I would give them a call to confirm though.

I am thinking of taking her passport as well. Possibly one other piece of info and maybe a letter from her saying it's ok for me to do it.

You need to call, but you should be able to have her write a letter authorizing you to drop off and pick up, signed.

When I got my visa in Toronto, the girl in front of me did exactly what you're asking about, and it was for a friend. She had the paperwork for both of them including a permission note with her friend's signature.

Definitely possible.
