anyone recently did one of those from Seoul? KTX down to Busan then ferry over to Fukouka. How much did it cost? I read travel agents do decent deals on these?
I did a search but was pulling up threads from a few year ago so need something a bit more upto date. |

I booked this trip by myself back in late May. It cost about 450k KRW total, round trip.
However, be aware that you may have a bit of layover time in Busan. I had a few hours of useless layover time (as in not long enough to explore Busan, but long enough to have a lot of waiting time). And you need to check in at the ferry terminal counter just like at an airport, as well as arrive early to get through customs/immigration.
Also, the trip will take over 6 hours, by all likelihood. Be prepared for a very long travel day.
(Also, if you have never been on a hydrofoil ferry before, be prepared for seasickness due to the unfamiliar speed/motion. But if you've been on one, then you have nothing to worry about.) |

| Unless you're doing it for the experience, it is more or less cheaper to fly. I think return trip tickets 320,000W with taxes right now. |

| Even if it were a bit more expensive by plane, consider how much your time is worth. It's not always better to take the cheaper option. |
