There will be some tough talk, maybe a few extra sanctions, but nothing major will come of it.
No one wants a war... not the South Koreans, not the NORK leadership. Way too much to lose for everyone...
In time people will forget about the whole thing... |

It seems silly to announce that you will blame someone. Why not just blame them, because if you announce you are going to lay blame then you are actually blaming.
China is the boss man. What is a war mongering puppet regime? This is what DPRK called South Korea, but seems to be so wrong that it's silly.
Oh gawd, artillery could devastate Seoul in minutes? Now that's not a bit silly nor very funny at all. I'd consider it quite a serious stand off here. Both sides know they'll just end up destroying each other and China will own them in the end so they don't do the unthinkable. Let's hope not.
How is America or anyone else going to impose sanctions when China is an enabler of the DPRK? America can't make China do anything nor control it with what it does on it's border with the DPRK. These sanctions would only be an offending message to DPRK to heat things up again. What is this Security Council going to do about it being that China backs the DPRK and China is a huge super power seemingly more powerful than the USA? While China hasn't yet proven it's more powerful the USA, it's clear it probably is. Let's hope that doesn't come in our lifetime.
All these threats from the North seem to be an attempt to make South Korea and Japan bend over backwards to reward them for misbehaving in attempt to get them to cool their jets and agree to not starting trouble. |
