Hi everyone, first post here. Hope this is the right place for it. Anyway, I have an interview coming up with You and I English and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them. I have tried to do some research but can't find anything. Any information would be great. Thanks guys.

What do you want to know? PM me if you can. They are opening new schools all the time.

I can't pm hamie. I'm new here. Maybe you can to me though. Basically I would like to know how they treat their employees, what are the working and living conditions like etc? How approachable are they?

My apologies for not actually noting that you were new.

Each You & I school is run separately by a couple of Koreans (might be a husband and wife or friends), but there is a head office and one guy (Jason/Canadian) you can turn to and ask questions of, if it's needed. I'm treated quite well, which makes a change from last time I was here and not teaching at this franchise. As with any school there will be days where you love what you do and those that will make you glad for soju. Nothing is a fairy tail.

As there are new schools opening all the time the number of hours you work will depend on how many students you have. The schedule is 1:30pm - 8:30pm, the first hour is planning (but it really takes about 15 minutes). Classes are 50 minutes long and what you teach is set out for you.

Living conditions are up to your individual boss but if you think you might get shoved in a terrible apartment ask for pictures first.

So far there's been no problem with pay, getting a health check and our bosses even organized us brand new phones.

I hope that helps. Let me know if there is anything I missed.
