Does anyone have access to information regarding hormones present in Korean meat? Specifically I am thinking about chicken, and estrogen content. I just heard a report that chicken and beef are mainly to blame for a series of developing health problems since they are being pumped full of hormones.
I noticed when I was back in Canada for 8 months, I'd sometimes feel as if my brain chemistry was different... especially after eating meat. I know that Canadian meat (at least the stuff I was eating) was as hormone pumped as you get, as most North American meat is. To be honest, I felt physically better in Korea, even though I was living in a more polluted city. I am wondering if diet is to do with this?
When I was over in Canada, I tried some organic chicken once, which was amazing and left me feeling great. Tasted better too. But I didn't buy it because it was $2 more than the regular chicken. After hearing this report, I'd pay that $2 without question...
I am pretty sure our options are very limited when it comes to getting organic chicken or beef in Korea... would probably be rather expensive.
So I'm wondering. Anyone know something about the level of hormones in Korean meat? Apparently, lots of research is pointing in the direction that hormones (especially estrogen in chicken) may be a leading cause of health problems in men.
And anyone know of any good organic meat shops? |
