Is USPS reliable to ship items to Korea? It seems that USPS is the cheapest method to send boxes of items I will have about four boxes I need to ship to me once I move. I am estimating that they are each around 30 lbs.
Are there any other good shipping companies? I looked into Freights but the cost was very expensive. I do not care how long it takes to get to me. UPSP says it would take a couple weeks. They no longer do ground/sea shipping according to their website. |

I have found USPS reliable, but expensive. 30lbs will cost you an arm and a leg. Is there any way at all you can fit some of this stuff into your luggage? Paying the fees for extra weight in your luggage will still set you back less than mailing through USPS.
Best of luck, in any case. |

| My mom has shipped me a couple of boxes, each costing $50, but you can fill it with whatever you want. Mind you - its not big. Shipping is very expensive. The post office is the easiest way - try to ask about surface mail (so it goes by boat), from Korea that is much cheaper. |

| I've had about 6 boxes sent to me. USPS has always worked, but you don't get a lot of space. Recently, I had a friend who knew someone at FEDEX so I got a 20 pound box shipped here for 50 bucks. However, I did have to pay 60,000 import tax on my shoes/clothes, but it's still cheaper than going through USPS. |
