This is more a comment than a question. I have lots of theories of my own.

Why is a housing contract unbreakable in Korea, and yet employment contracts are worthless?

Example: I have a 2 year contract on an apartment. I got a new job in a different city, and I'm waiting to sell this place off. I asked about breaking the contract (giving 2-3 months notice,) but I was told that this isn't possible.

Contrast that with employment contracts in Korea. Those are voided with very little problem. I don't need to give examples of employment contracts not being honored. Dave's is littered with stories.

Just FYI, even if I can't sell the apartment, I'm glad I took the new job. The commute is 90 min. each way, but that's bearable.
