I'm already in Korea with an E2 visa.
To go to Beijing for a weekend I will need... a re-entry visa, my passport, a ticket, and a visa to enter China? |

Correct. Have fun! I'm going for a long weekend in Shanghai on Friday. Use www.sohotravel.co.kr to organise your visa...takes 4-5 working days to process. |

You are almost correct - re-entry permit, passport, ticket to China and return, visa to enter China
AND PLEASE NOTE:
you must have your ARC before you can get a re-entry permit (unless you are American with a multi-entry visa).
Single use re-entry permit can be obtained at the airport.
Multi use re-entry permits MUST be obtained at your local immigration office (the one that issued your ARC).
