I had a buyer, but I think he's backed out.

Looking to sell my black macbook the week of May 10th. I will be in Seoul from the 10-14th. The big benefit is the warranty. Not only does it mean you are assured NOT to be screwed over when you buy it, but if something should go wrong and it's not easily fixed, it means you'll likely get a brand new macbook for free!

Specs:

2.2 ghz core 2 duo
160 gb HD
1 gb ram
superdrive

Software:
I can include a few things. MS office (maybe), Iwork (definitely), Adobe CS 3.

MS office is actually registered to my company, so I have to look into that. Iwork is fine and usable/updatable, and adobe CS3 is legit, but you will need a key/crack, since the key I have is only good for one comp (and right now I can't even find the key anyway).

I've already had a wide variety of interest in a couple of countries (I travel). Make me a reasonable offer and COMMIT to buy it and it's yours. I will not be selling this for less than 650,000, and previous offers have been higher than that by a fair margin.

Remember this is a comp WITH WARRANTY.

if you want pics let me know your email address.

But you can buy a BRAND NEW MacBook Pro for $1249 on the Apple store!!!!!

(It wouldn't be a B/S/T thread without a rediclious statement thrown in for good measure Wink )

bumping this and...

I may be in Korea for a bit longer and a bit earlier.

couple of PM offers so far, but as I said in the ad, you need to COMMIT to buying it. I love hypotheticals as much as the next guy, but I really would like to finish this up.

Bumping this again.

I arrive in Seoul on saturday. I have pics and a video I can send to anyone who is interested.

Not sure what my internet access will be like once I arrive, so letting me know sooner rather than later would be good.

Thanks.

This is the definition of software that is NOT legit. For any buyers out there who may think this is "legit" software, do your research. This is a huge red flag.

By the way, if the software were "legit," it would be worth more than the computer (assuming that it's one of the Adobe suites)! You listed Adobe CS3, but there is no software called just that. It has to be Photoshop, Indesign, etc., or a suite of applications.

you have no idea what you're talking about, hamlet.

Some of us in the world get products from the companies... they have restrictions. I had the option of buying something for 500 bucks, but I didn't want to spend the 500 bucks.

But, again, no idea what you're talking about. Apple has all kinds of stuff that have limited installations. If you go to Apple's website in the software section there are numerous products with 'family' in the name=more than one comp.

I am not interested in getting in a flaming war, though.

Actually, I do. Go to the Apple website. Click on Store. Click on Mac Software. Look at the Adobe software. The new Adobe CS5 Premium Suite is $1900--computer not included! The upgrade by itself is $600! If you are selling a MacBook with a legitimate copy of Adobe CS3 Premium Suite, for example, for 650,000, you are crazy! As I said, a legitimate copy of the software itself is worth as much as the computer you are selling!

Now you're right--I have no idea. I have no idea what this block of words means. What is this "something" you could have bought but didn't?

Show me where on the Apple website you can get a bundled, restricted copy of a product called "Adobe CS3." Right now there is no way to tell what software you are even talking about. Adobe is a company name. CS3 is a version of one or more of their software programs. It is not a software program by itself.

Neither am I, but you either don't know what you are selling, or you are purposely misrepresenting what you are selling.

So, why don't you just clear things up by stating what Adobe software you are including and whether or not it is a legitimate copy, one that comes with a proper key code. If you don't know what it is (Photoshop, Indesign, etc.) maybe you can tell us what it is used for.

jesus you're a pain in the arse.

I got my copy from ADOBE. the 'something' was a proper keycode so I could use it on multiple comps. Now since I got it when I only had one comp, and the code was expensive, I didn't buy it. I contacted my friend who says the older version codes wont re-authorize once they've been activated. I could go into far more detail, but it's REALLY NOT NECESSARY. Why, because it doesn't matter.

As for why I would be selling it if it's worth more than the comp itself. Wow, you're bright. If you can download a dmg and then buy or even download a cracked key for it, you just got Adobe CS X for FREE/the cost of an internet connection. So if I say, yeah, you have to give me 1000 bucks for the program and 700 for the comp, when they can get that 1000 dollar value for nothing, no one is going to do it.

As for what programs: flash, photoshop, illustrator, indesign, dreamweaver, video encoder, acrobat pro. It also has a number of more minor utilities.

Now give it a rest. if you don't want to buy it, fine. But since you don't know what you're talking about AND you don't want to buy it, why not just shut up??? I didn't put every single detail of the comp/software in the ad. I also didn't put down my shoe size, my waist or my preferred brand of cologne. Would you like me to include those too?

Hey Hamlet give the guy a break. I'll admit I bashed his first posting about this notebook due to lack of info... But just what in the heck is your problem man? All of us here do our homework before committing to buying one of these things.

But you... Get a job (I can spend time ranting at you cuz I'm leaving soon and therefor have the time to diss you!)or get a life.

Let the guy sell his system and shut the h#ll up. You just come across as someone with a complex rather than trying to help other buyers out.

And really... who cares?

And yes I'm bored or I wouldn't be spending the time writing this!! Laughing

Good luck with the sale man. Very Happy
