I have been trying to book a room for two nights for when my parents-in-law visit at the end of May, and tried places people recommended here (Metro Hotel, and also a place that had positive reviews online, Doulous, also in the Myeongdong area). Both are fully booked. I haven't tried Ibis yet, but when checking rates online for those days said $150 (US dollars) per night. We would prefer to stay in the same hotel with them (not the same room, of course), so that is getting pretty steep.

Getting rather stressed. Yes, I should have done this earlier. Any other tips or recommendations? Something 80,000 to 100,000 won is perfect, though higher may be okay.

honestly I would try to find a good love motel. get much better quality and service for a much better service. Motels set up for waygooks here are a ripoff. Just make sure you check it out in person first

a quick google http://www.justenoughkorean.com/blog/2009/11/love-motel-vs-tourist-motel/
