Any advice on getting an F-2 visa while I'm in the UK?
I've tried the Korean Embassy website in London but the links a broken.
I'm wondering whether the process will be easier than getting an E-2 - having to getting documents apostilled and so on. Or, would I still need legalised copies of my degree and CRB check anyway?
I'm not clear what the criteria for getting an F-2 actually are. Some people seem to say that you need to show your spouse can support you, others that you have a sum of money saved in won, other people seem to get one without either of these.
My wife is Korean but we are both currently resident in the UK. I'm applying for jobs right now but my wife will have difficulty getting a post before we actually move back to Seoul. Schools normally expect to interview Korean teachers face to face apparently.
So basically my question is - can I get an F-2 visa from the UK without having any savings or jobs lined up?
I'm thinking of just getting an E-2 and then switching to an F2 after a few months in Seoul, if it is worthwhile doing this.
Thanks in advance,
