drinking water purifier for rent. no need to spend money on buying it and worry about trying to sell it when you leave korea when you can just rent it. 200,000won deposit and 30,000won /month.(you get the deposit back anytime you dont want to use the purifier anymore. deposit's just so you won't run-off with my 1,500,000won purifier or in case you try to jack my monthly pay) no more spending a lot of money nor the hassle of buying bottled water! for only about 1,000won a day, drink as much water as you want!! you dont even have to worry about your friends coming over and drinking up all your bottled water that you "paid" for. and keep in mind that it's not regular water but healthy alkaline water. act fast cause the offer won't last long.

that would buy about 6 litres of water a day in any large supermarket, and I wouldn't have to pay a 200,000won deposit |

thanks for your reply but let me start off by asking you if you teach English all day and come home at night reading everybody's posts making negative comments when you're not even interested in buying that product? i never had anyone comment like you before so i clicked to see all your posts and it seems like you spend your whole life making comments to other people's posts on this site. you should try spending your time a little more wisely.
but anyways, let me give you a little knowledge and reply back to the comment you made. like you said, 1,000won buys 6 litres of water a day at any large supermarket with no deposit. well good for you! you can continue buying your water at the supermarket! nobody is making you buy this purifier. people can buy 6 litres but why do people buy purifiers? people can ride the bus/subway but why do they buy cars? at the convenient stores, you can only buy 1 litre with that price. also, i guess you haven't learned any korean to be watching the news but about 95% of bottled waters contain bacteria. and if u read my posts carefully, i wrote that this is not "regular" water but "healthy alkaline" water. i assume you don't know what alkaline water is. of course u don't because 99/100 people don't know what that is, that's why they drink "normal" water from regular purifiers or bottled water. if u have any questions, i'd be happy to teach you about water and health. |

Overreact much?...
He was pointing out that your pricing model was the same as buying water from the store... And then you spent an entire rant on telling him off... Personally I think it's you who needs to "try spending your time a little more wisely."
If you're drinking more than 6 litres of water a day this is a deal... If you don't like carrying 6 litres of water home with you from the store next to your apartment this is a deal... If you have space for something like this, this is a deal... Otherwise it is not a deal.
I think that's all the other poster was trying to say man... Lighten up a touch eh? |

yeah maybe i did overreact a little but like i said, i'm not making anybody buy or rent anything. u said if someone is drinking more than 6 litres of water a day, then it's a deal... etc. well, everybody's different and has their own opinions. I probably drink about 2 cups of water a day but I still have a purifier because I dont just drink any kind of water including bottled water. i didnt know before but been educated on "drinking water" so now i only drink "alkaline" water. thanks for your comments. |

Google it before you jump on that bandwagon. |

What I don't understand is why you don't just return the machine to the company and get your $200 deposit back? |

I thought companies gave you these dispensers for free if you ordered like 20,000w worth of water each month.... |

ID: air76- i didnt rent this machine from the company. i bought it for 1,500,000won and i was gonna sell it but i'd figured it wouldnt be easy finding someone that'll buy it when they'll be leaving korea one day. that's why i'm just renting it out.
ID: pkang0202- no, the companies do not give these dispensers for free. they rent it to you and it costs more than 20,000won/month (i believe the price ranges depending on how long your contract is). the ones u see people renting is not "alkaline-water-purifier." And if it was that simple, people would rent it instead of buying it for like 2.5 mil - 3.0 mil won. this purifier is mine so there's no contract. u can just use it for 1 month if u want. |

I have only ever made negative comments on two or three threads on the buy/sell forum, and that includes your thread. The other one that I can think about, off the top of my head is from someone in north africa trying to sell an online account to teachers in Korea.
Water in water bottles might have bacteria, who cares? people over-react when they hear about bacteria...it's good to build up your immune systemm and it's not making me sick and I drink about 3 litres a day.
Good luck in selling it, what i'm pointing out is that you are charging waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much for it. If it's not a rental and you don't use it, then sell the thing at a loss. It's going to take you about 4 years to get your money back from it with rental alone. |

ID: Goon-Yang- you may be joking around but i drink bottled water that costs over 50k won per 1.5 litre bottle. i dont drink it on a normal basis though. i didnt post it though b/c i aint trying to sell it and i know you cant afford to buy it.
ID: the ireland- you said it's not making you sick. well i smoked for 15 yrs and it didnt make me sick. it's not right now but in the long run. good point u made about selling it at a loss instead of renting it out. i did try to sell it at a big loss but most foreigners prefer not to spend even a little money on buying something like that when they're not going to live in korea forever. that's why i deleted the "sell" post and changed it to "rent." I paid 1.5 mil won for it and i saw someone selling their used one on another site for 700k won. well guess what? like u said, "it's not a rental and i dont use it" so i was trying to sell it for a real cheap price. used ones are going for 700k won but i put mine up for 300k won. i think that's losing more than enough, dont u think? other people sell their used things for maybe half the price but i was selling mine for 1/5 of the price. so what do u think? is 300k won still waaaaaaaaay too much for a 1.5 mil won purifier? i would love to sell it rather than renting it so i wont have to worry about it. |

If it is so vital to your health that you drink alkaline water then why are you selling/renting the machine? |

i was waiting for that question. i was debating whether i should answer that question before being asked or not. . i'm selling/renting this one because i have two alkaline water purifiers and i dont need two. and before someone asks me why do i have two... maybe i should answer that question too. i dont know why i have to answer all these unnecessary questions. i wish people that are interested in buying this purifier would ask me questions and not people that are just curious. |
