Hey!
I'm from england- I am a childrens nurse. I've got a possibility of a hogwan job in Seoul where I have a reliable contact also working there.
I'm trying to find out asap re my qualifications and if they will be acceptable. I hear the korean embassy are very black and white about wanting you to have a degree.
I have a 3 year diploma in childrens nursing, and a post graduate (masters level) diploma in public health.
My contact is unsure if these will suffice as its not a straight forward degree, despite it being a higher level.
Any clarity will be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks!!!! Should I ring the embassy? ? |

"If you want to eat it, don't ask if it's Kosher."
Do not call the Korean Embassy. Submit your Degree and your Masters along with transcripts for both, cross your fingers, whistle a happy tune and you could sail right on through. Tell your school that you finished your degree in only 3 years and then got your masters so they can explain to Immigration, if they ask any questions. Good luck. |

I haven't got a masters - I studied at masters level but without the dissertation (which i optional) therefore its a Post-graduate Diploma.
And degrees in England are 3 years, and so are nursing diplomas.
But embassy request a straight forward degree, therefore its a bit complicated in this case.
Am I making sense?? Thanks for your help  |

I understand what you are saying. My advice was to go ahead and submit what you will refer to as your Degree and your Masters.

Whoa! You Brits scent your diplomas? I'd hate to smell a Liberal Arts' degree. |

"Won't pass the smell test" is an English phrase meaning that someone will see it and immediately think something's wrong with it. |
