If you leave your place of employment BEFORE 6 months, can you do a visa run to Japan to renew or transfer your visa to a new place? because one recruiter is telling me i have to and the other is saying i dont. and its right that you have to have a job set up BEFORE you do your visa run, right?

In some cases, you don't have too. That only happens if your other employer agrees to not cancel your visa before the end of it. If that happens, then you stay on that visa, while working at a different school. So no visa run. Otherwise, yes.

if you're less than 6 months into your contract you have to do a visa run. you cant use the same visa to transfer schools if you haven't worked at least 6 months.

you can't be issued a new visa without the contract and notice of appointment from you're new place of employment. so you have to have another job lined up prior to doing your visa run.

you would have to have your current visa canceled (on good terms). this involves you and your current boss (or vice-director) going into the immigration office together to cancel your visa. immigration needs to document that it was a mutual agreement between you and your employer for your resignation.
then you'll have a 30 day exit order stamped in your passport. you'll have 30 days to find a job, get your contract and noa, and book a flight or ferry to wherever your visa run is.
