I don't know much about US Xboxes or Korean Live accounts, but as far as I can tell the only advantage to having a Korean Live Account is that you could buy MS Points in shops in the country. However, if you have a credit card, you can just buy from your own country.
One disadvantage would be that everything would be in Korean.
As far as I can tell, it would be far better to get an account from your home country. I have a Korean Xbox and a UK Live Account. This means if, someday, I leave Korea and go back the UK and get a UK Xbox, I can still use my UK Live Account. Everything on my Live account is the same as the UK (videos, etc) but some of the services don't work, like the Skyplayer, because you need to be inside the country to use it.
Just my opinion, but you might as well get an account with the US so, when you return, you can keep using it conveniently. |
