I feel like I'm doing football drills when I go for a run around the park. I'm dodging people on bicycles riding like they're drunk. I'm dodging bikes/people on the jogging/walking path. Does everyone move at the slowest pace possible?
Gripe over.
The weather today is lovely. |

Interesting. I find people also walk as if they're drunk here, weaving their way in an almost S pattern, rather than going in a straight line. You may be onto something. |

Koreans walk in the same way as they jog, run, ride bikes and drive cars i.e. they have impaired spatial awareness and a sense of irresponsibility for others around them. |

So they naturally move that way? I always thought it was just because they drive, walk, and bike while drunk. |

Haha. I read a while ago that going skiing/snowboarding in Korea is extra dangerous because of the aforementioned. |

Do what you want, but I'd laugh if you did.
Wow I could never go skiing in this country. Imagine if they ski like they merge cars in traffic. |

I noticed they can't figure out whether to go left or right as there's no established general rules for how pedestrian traffic works. I noticed that if I decide to veer right or left, they will almost always change direction where it's an S curve pattern of walking rather than choosing a direction and sticking with it. Needless to say, this leads to many close body collisions without an excuse me. All in all, oddly so, walking on the left works better as walking on the left is done about 51% of the time. There's one pedestrian traffic situation you want to steer clear of and that my friends are motorcycles popping out from anywhere onto footpaths into the action of your walking legs. |

Koreans play chicken when walking. They make every effort to run into you it seems. They see you coming, but either make no effort to move, or do so in a manner that makes manners worse.
There's no unwritten rule that you stay to the right. Just look at the stairways at any subway station.
Korea is a country with a 1st world infrastructure and economy but the ethic and cultural system of a developing nation. They're still trying to grow into their bigger, more powerful body and there are a LOT of growing pains. |

You are one of the few foreign teachers that actually participate in physical exercise in Korea. Kudos to you. Way to set an example. |

I'm an A+ Korea apologist. Most of the problems you have in Korea are your own fault.
Having said that, Koreans walk like triple lobotomized, Ebola infested, crack monkeys. Theres no getting around it.
Their driving isn't that hot either. |

I think taking your shirt off while running will be enough to stop just about anything Korean in their tracks. |
