Thinking of doing it next summer. Planning 3 months--definitely not just going on the 48 hour train from Moscow to London. I actually want to stop along the way.

i heard the trains are filthy.
people actually hide their shoes under their bunks, cuz they spit on the train. so if you leave them out, ppl might hit your shoes.
also, its not the most comfortable, smells bad.
but its worth the experience as i heard from friends who done it
